Diversity in the Creative Industries
Creative Entrepreneurialism Runway (CER project) is the result of the collaborative project ”Diversity in the Creative Industries”. Originally started in cooperation with 2 other organizations, CER is now managed by SwIdeas. Diversity in the Creative Industries aimed to improve young people's, access to professional networks, improve career-oriented capacities, competencies and opportunities for young talents within the creative industries. This two-year project was funded by the Erasmus+ programme within the EU’s Strategic Framework Horizon 2020. CER serves mainly young people who have ideas for or previous experience from the cultural and creative industries and who are at an early stage of their career.
The project was a KA2 strategic partnership between SwIdeas and the organisations Capture22 (Netherlands) and Euroaccion (Spain) co-funded by the EU via Erasmus+. The focus of the project was to increase the participation of young people in the creative industries, as well as to contribute to a more diversified industry.
The project aimed to improve access to professional networks, improve career-oriented capacities, competences and opportunities for young talents who want to pursue a career in creative industries. The primary target group we worked with were young people, aged 18 – 30, who have had higher educational training in the creative industries or who are at an early stage of their careers. The project included organising international internships between the three countries, the creation of an online platform as well as local events to enhance the knowledge about creative industries and to improve the skills and capacities of the young people. Diversity in the Creative Industries was a pilot project to create a long term engagement, knowledge and collaboration between different stakeholders.
