European Dialogue for Active Citizenship – (EDACate)
EDACate was a KA2 Strategic Partnership co-funded by the Erasmus+ of the European Union. The project was led by Intercultural Youth Dialogue Association IYDA e.V. (Germany) in partnership with Border Crossing Company Limited (UK), Youth Europe Service (Italy), Action Synergy SA (Greece), Crossing Borders (Denmark), Edu Compass (Bulgaria) and SwIdeas (Sweden).
EDACate aimed to evaluate and exchange good practice methods for training and teaching participation and citizenship. During the project, we met in each participant country with different stakeholders and shared good practices in active citizenship from Sweden. By the end of the project, we were able to present an e-book with more than 100 examples of active citizenship as well as tools for educators and trainers. We hope that the use of these tools will encourage and inspire young people to make a change in the communities they live in regardless of their ethnic, educational or cultural backgrounds.
